![]() The Maybelline New York Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush will get the job done in no time and is one of our go-tos for adding color to the face. The easiest way to do this is to smile and apply blush where you see your cheek becomes the most round - that’s considered your apple. Blush Is Absolutely Key to Making Your Contour PopĪdding a pop of blush to the apples of the cheeks is a great way to add color and soften your overall contoured look. If you have deeper skin, you’ll want to avoid this tip altogether, though, to ensure that your contour doesn’t appear dull or ashy. While these gray contouring colors may look flat in the pan, they add dimension to the face in a natural way when applied under the cheekbones, along the sides of the nose and jawline. Because your contour is supposed to look like a shadow, matte products with a gray undertone work well for most skin tones - simply choose one that’s two shades darker than your skin. I don’t think the exact shade matters in this case, but FWIW I’m N10 in CoverFX…closer to neutral but w/slightly warm-leaning undertones my MAC # would be no more than an educated guess as I only purchase cruelty-free (which MAC is not).Repeat after us: I shall not contour with shimmery bronzer. Of course can’t say that everyone will love it – & esp the sculpting powder – as much as I do, but (at the very least) I cannot imagine anyone w/fair or light skin regretting picking it up:) ![]() brow pencils, makeup remover, etc., and have actually never purchased a duplicate palette, but I’m seriously considering it. I’m actually considering purchasing a back-up, which is very much NOT like me i generally only buy back-ups of products I go through frequently, i.e. ![]() If you’re interested in any more than one of the products in it I highly recommend picking it up if I can recall I believe the product page (on Sephora) specifies it being restocked in May, but you can always sign up for one of the restock notifications. My pleasure! I’m a nerd who often does value calculations for palettes/sets & this one was such an amazing value (w/in the realm of Kevyn Acoin at least!) that I kept double checking myself & before I saw it in person I truly thought the listed product weights had to be incorrect! I was so happy to see that it was brought back & am not a bit surprised that it sold out quite quickly. If you guys know of any other natural-looking powders like this one, please let me know what your favorites are! I’m so glad that my struggle is over though! I’m really in love with this contour powder, if you have fair skin then you probably know how tricky it is to find a bronzing/contouring product that looks natural and works with your skin. honestly, there isn’t anything that I don’t like about this powder, perhaps the price might be a little high for some ($20.00) but seeing how much money I’ve spend in the past looking for a perfect product to work with my skin, I think that it’s completely worth the price the packaging is THE BOMB, very sturdy with a huge mirror the color isn’t too warm or too cool- it’s just perfect, it doesn’t look muddy or orange-y gives a natural-looking color, but it can also be built up for more intensity non-drying, even on my currently very flaky skin the formula is incredible, comfortable wear and blends well I have to say that over the last couple of months I’ve been trying more Pixi products and I’m slowly falling in love with the brand (their Endless Brow Gel Pen is now my favorite brow product, and I am very hard to please when it comes to my brows). The formula is packed with peptides, a multi-vitamin complex, plus aloe vera, super fruit and coffee extracts to further enhance & nourish the complexion.” Easy-to-use formula enhances your natural features, creating definition when swept into the hollows of the cheeks, under the jawline, down the sides of the nose and in the crease of the eye. Pixi promises that this powder will help you “get a super-natural shaded effect with this luxe contouring powder. It’s a powder, but one that blends seamlessly, easily, it’s very creamy, non-drying and most importantly, it looks very natural (but that doesn’t mean that you can’t go heavy with it, if you love more intense contour). ![]() Pixi Natural Contour Powder* though is something else. One of the main reasons why I prefer cream over powder formulas when it comes to contouring, is because they blend much easier and with that, I have a lot more control over the intensity of the color. If you have fair skin like me and prefer subtle and natural-looking contour then you probably know that finding a bronzing/contouring powder that works with your skin tone can be difficult. ![]()
